ABOUT PLAT DU JOUR BISTRO

We at Plat Du Jour began by offering upscale comfort food with contactless delivery during Covid after restaurants closed their doors. We soon added upscale dinner parties for delivery. We were thrilled to help families and loved ones in the the comfort and safety of their homes. Our customers loved our delicious food and we soon evolved into a successful catering company.

We are now very excited to announce that we are the new proprietors of the historic Wenham Tea House, the oldest operating tea house in the U.S. We are honored to work with the Wenham Village Improvement Society in keeping the history in place while re-opening this wonderful spot.  We have renovated and modernized the historic tea house’s interior and added a bar to the lounge to offer our guests an incredible fine dining ambience and experience.

The Plat Du Jour Bistro features Classic French & Mediterranean cuisine in a neighborhood bistro setting. The restaurant offers fine dining, Sunday brunch, afternoon tea, private parties, gourmet prepared foods for pickup, online ordering, catering, and an extensive retail shop with fine teas and charcuterie items along with chef inspired gifts.

Our goal is to give patrons and the community several dining choices, whether that be in the more formal dining room, the private dining room, the patio when in season, ordering takeout and getting a drink at the bar, or picking up delicious prepared foods.

ABOUT CHEF PATRICK LORD

Since beginning my culinary journey, I always had a neighborhood French Bistro in mind with a seasonally inspired menu. There would be freshly carved meats and cheeses with fresh bread, wine from France along with other regions in the Mediterranean, and all the French Classics! I knew immediately when I stepped into the Wenham Tea House that this was it! Dreams do come true. Please come along for the journey. I truly believe that food is love and we are all family.”
